Review: Secret Coven: Dark Journals Book 2

Secret Coven: Dark Journals Book 2 Secret Coven: Dark Journals Book 2 by Stephen Skoblick
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I did not finish the book; it was that bad. The story is based on a coven of a young woman who are similar to sorority sisters who are thinking of breeding with their young male witch to produce pure witches with higher powers. The book felt more like a rough draft than a polished story; lacking was the character development, not much in the way of setting the scenes up for maximum visualization and the dialogue was like I am watching a dull day time soap opera. This might appeal to some readers, but it fell short for me.

Review: The Dark Game

The Dark Game The Dark Game by Jonathan Janz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When a famous author sends invitations to ten contestants in a secluded writing competition that promises the winner untold fame and fortune how can they resisit. At an alarming rate many of the guests get the impression that things are not as kosher as first lead to believe. What happened to the other contestants? Why does the famous author seem to be getting younger as if he is tapping into the fountain of youth each evening? Will anyone make it out alive? This seemed a cross between the Twilight Zone or a Alfred Hitchcocks movie...very intense.

Review: The Little Book of Bad Moods

The Little Book of Bad Moods The Little Book of Bad Moods by Lotta Sonninen
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I burned it. After I spent sometime going through the pages that ask you to pretty much write about every bad thing that has happened to you and name the names of these individual that might have caused you this pain. Not the kind of book you would leave around for another person to find. While it was good to get somethings out and on paper, it was also troubling and hurtful to reexperience those old wounds again. Somethings are better left buried and forgiven...

Review: Temper

Temper Temper by Layne Fargo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bravo! Bravo! Nicely done, I had several different possiable endings thought out in my mind but how it actually ended was even better than anticipated. Maniplation seems to be the name of the game in this story about how some individuals use and mistreat others is criminal.
