A Christmas Return by Anne Perry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
When aging Mariah Ellison receives an ominous package, with a murder weapon hidden within some Chrismas pudding she is drawn into the solving a twenty-year-old mystery that involved her dear friends. Chilling describes the subject matter when the rape of two young girls floods back memories of past cruelties inflicted upon her by her husband. With exceptional style, Anne Perry weaves a woeful tale of how one devious evil man preyed on all he came in contact with for his own sexual desires. Can Mariah along with the help of her nephew find enough evidence to put this monster away for good? This is a perfect book to curl up with anywhere you have a few short hours, being one hundred and seventy-seven pages long this makes a great travel companion or stocking stuffer. Thank you, Anne Perry, Ballantine Books of Random House Books and Goodreads for allowing me to receive an ARC copy of this book.
