When a young woman returns from the Carpathian mountains in Transylvania, she also brings home an ancient deity housed in a small golden box. With Bran's help, they rescue a young boy and put a stop to the evil brother and sister who have been preying on the poor for their Egyptian rituals that suck the life out of their victims.
Love this book! What interested me most was the way history is woven into the storyline, it makes it seem all the more like a true story. Was also captivated with characters and how life was so different to what it is today.
